Rooster External Parasite Symptoms and Treatment Leave a comment

Roosters are susceptible to various diseases and pests that can cause a range of symptoms and lead to significant losses. These can range from external parasites affecting growth and vitality to internal diseases like Marek’s Disease causing neurological issues and paralysis. Infected roosters may exhibit signs like weight loss, labored breathing, lethargy, abnormal stool, or neurological issues. 

Symptoms:
  • External Parasites:

    Mites and lice can cause skin irritation, anemia, and reduce egg production. Symptoms may include droopy wings, gasping, weight loss, and diarrhea. 

  • Marek’s Disease:

    This viral disease can cause inflammation and tumors in nerves, spinal cord, and brain, leading to paralysis in legs or wings, head tremors, and eventual death. 

  • Infectious Laryngotracheitis (ILT):

    This respiratory disease can cause coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, and breathing difficulties. 

  • Newcastle Disease:

    This highly contagious viral disease can cause sudden death, lethargy, and respiratory distress in unvaccinated birds. 

  • Fowl Cholera:

    This bacterial disease can cause weight loss, lameness due to joint infections, rattling noises, and swollen wattles. 

  • Other Symptoms:

    Weight loss, labored breathing, lethargy, abnormal stool, and neurological issues are also common signs of various diseases and pests. 

Losses:
  • Reduced Growth and Vitality: External parasites can slow growth and lower vitality. 
  • Egg Production Decline: Parasites and diseases can reduce egg production or cause deformed eggs. 
  • Increased Mortality: Diseases like Marek’s Disease and Newcastle Disease can lead to high mortality rates. 
  • Economic Losses: Reduced egg production, lower bird weights, and mortality can lead to significant economic losses for poultry producers. 
Control Measures:
  • Biosecurity:

    Preventing the introduction of pathogens by maintaining clean and dry environments, controlling pests, and practicing good hygiene. 

  • Pest Control:
    Regularly inspecting for and treating external parasites like mites and lice. 

Administration:-

-For Adult Rooster: 10ml. mix in 1-Liter of water. Spray well on rooster.

-For Chicks Rooster: 5ml. mix in 1-Liter of water. Spray well on rooster.

No Any Bad Effects

In the beginning you have to do 2 to 3 times within Week. After that you can do it once time after every 30 to 90 days.

Product Storage: Keep place cool, dark and dry place. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Close bottel cap propperly after use.
